QAA Summary Explanation This summary encompasses the years 1983-2003. Data was obtained from AKC Awards and Retriever Field Trial News. The chart is broken down by year, with each dog placing or JAMing in Open, Limited, Special, Amateur or Owner-handled amateur All-Age stakes, and any dogs winning first or second in a Qualifying stake in that year, listed alphabetically. Dogs are listed with their sex, sire, dam, total Open points (this includes Limited & Special), total Amateur points (regular Amateur and Owner-Handled Amateur) and any All-Breed wins in these stakes. Dogs with a first or second in the Qual are listed as to which placement they won, with no further breakdowns beyond indicating either a 1 or a 2. In all cases of All-Age JAM's or Qual placements, only the highest-earned level is represented, without maintaining a running tally. For instance, when a dog has won 3 Jams and a Reserve Jam in Open for the year, the RJ will be listed, that being the highest level of placement that dog earned in that stake. The ACC Bulletin lists total breakouts for every dog for every stake, with detailed information on each dog’s placements for the year. Star Abbreviations **** dogs producing 5 or more *** or ** dogs in US and/or Canada/foreign, bitches have produced 4 or more. *** QAA dog ** dog has derby or qualifying ribbon, but has not made QAA For conformation Champions, a * after the Ch abbreviation indicates a group placement. For obedience dogs, a * after the obedience title indicates an all-breed high in trial award. ** and *** are typically listed after a dog’s name, while the producer designation (****) appears in front of a dog’s name. The designation "c" in front of stars indicates that dog has achieved placements in Canada only. A "c" after the stars indicates the dog has reached that star level in both the US and Canada. For all other titles, the abbreviation "Can" indicates the dog has earned the title in Canada. All other titles and abbreviations are explained elsewhere on this website.
